I hardly see how listening to music/watching movies/etc is a productive use of your time when you are unemployed. That's all I'm saying. That's why I do voluntary work. And I am moving soon. 10 days in fact.

If I rent a movie and copy it, then give the copy to my friend, that is legal No it isn't. That law was amended quite a while ago and you cannot distribute copyrighted material even for free. As far as why are DVD burners legal? Because some people want to make back-up copies of their movies, plus, I can't fit F.E.A.R. combat on a CD so I put it on a DVD. People don't buy DVD burners just to copy movies.

It all depends where you live. Downloading music is legal here, but selling downloaded music is illegal without permision.
