Specifically speaking, the gov wants to know who's lookin' at porn. Too bad for all those twelve-year-olds with an internet connection.

Yes, it's illegal if you aren't of proper age. Talk about limiting freedom of speach..

If the government starts censoring the internet, I swear it's coup time. And now my door is gonna be knocked down by feds. Great.

They are free to force them with that damn dirty Patriot Act. I hate that stupid act, biggest violation of freedom for the U.S in a long time.

It gives the government more power to invade privacy in an attempt to lessen terrorism. But it means they could spy on people, tap phone lines (maybe, that is still up in the air) or moderate internet information in the interest of preventing terrorism. It isn't a good trade off.

The PATRIOT act denies people's rights to privacy with the intention of finding terrorists(although only 20 out of the 200 people arrested because of the act were related with terrorism - the others were immigration), but that denial of privacy can be used for other things, such as monitoring people watching pornography.

Souces? And just so you know most people like the -patriot act.

Against a backdrop of heightened public concern about government intrusions, six in 10 Americans favor extending the Patriot Act, but majorities oppose expanding it by adding new FBI powers to issue subpoenas and access U.S. mail. - abcnews.go.com/US/PollVault/story?id=833703That's a weak majority.

Not really considering when the liberals changed it to just "wiretapping phones" it went to 46%

I personally don't go for "majority is always right". If the majority of people supported voting for an act that enslaved a minority would it be right? No.
I'm going to quote Oscar Wilde on this one: Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people.

Eh it's called cleaning out your cookies. Then again, I only looked at some porn, the black market, selling babies on the black market, how to make a bomb and some other disturbing stuff. No child porn though, cause I am not that type of man.
I think the government should mind their own buisness. That's what I think. I also think they should all poof into smoke... ah hahahahaha

Google has a database on their servers, just as every search engine. Their server isn't on your computer..
