There is nothing less important for the non-artist than art.

That would make for some seriously funky background wallpaper, that would. Love the design you've made and those colours are bold and striking, and fit the pattern great. Nice work!

Love the design you've made and those colours are bold and striking, and fit the pattern great. Nice work! Thank you . What I like about it most is that the "fans" going from the center towards the left black out everything but the very center of the circles, whereas the "fans" going to the left appear to distort them like some kind of wavy glass.

Still working on the necromistress. Here she is, with some more work done. Lovely work again, Stormy. It may still be unfinished, but so far your drawing looks pretty spectacular. The shading on the Necromistress' clothes is my favourite part, the robes are rumpled nicely and look quite realistic like that. The pose of the hands and the scythe is great as well, and looks quite fitting for the character whilst that demonic horse. The green eyes for both of them is a nice touch as well, and more menacing and foreboding then the standard stock red of evil. Looking forwards to seeing the end result!

Thank you! I like the green more too. It's more sickly and deathly. The red was too alive. I'm not sure about the sleeve yet, but I'm getting there

A new one I made, since I left Necromistress on the glass of my scanner yesterday. It's an exercise in frog perspective, but somehow I can't get it to work. There's some things that are very wrong with it, and I wonder what...

Lookin' good! Although I think the nose and chin/jaw are a little off, but that's all I can see that's wrong. I really like the Necromistress too. Like EG says, the robes look fantastic!

Thanks! Yeah, something's wrong with the nose and jaw. The eyes too. Nice picture again, Stormy, but like eek says, the nose and the jaw/chin are just the slightest bit off. I would say that the nose looks a little too flat and the jaw/chin doesn't go out far enough. The picture is from an upwards perspective, but from that angle, it looks like she's tilting her head downwards and is squashing her chin in a little, I think, if that makes any sense to you. The eyes I would imagine are okay, but off-character somewhat? Perhaps a little too big? I am not sure what to say, but overall the picture is really good, Stormy. I dunno if I'm helping here any, so I'll just say great work and keep it up!

You're definitely helping, since now you've given me an idea what's wrong with it

until I read the title, I couldn't tell it was a female. Now I see it though. It's pretty shiznit.

That hurts, that really hurts. At least it looks human though, that's a good start. I'm trying to texture it now. Might be a little more obvious once the texture is on. Thanks for replying though, it's been damn hard to get any of those recently.

I hope you don't really mean it when you say you felt bad about what I said. And I mean shiznit in the most positive way.
and yeah, it sucks when you get get swept into the sea of "previous page".

Nah, it doesn't really bother me. It's progress, and that's fine with me.

Hey Twitchmonkey, that's a pretty damn fine face you made there. I don't know much about Z Brush, but anatomically, the head and facial structures do look feminine to me. Pretty nice for a base, and I'd quite like to see it again once you've added in the textures. Nice work Twitchmonkey.

The texture is coming along. I have the lips done and the skin I've been revising over and over again. I'm try to get some help over at the zbrush forums on making the eyes though, so I probably won't post any updates until that's done. Thanks, EG.

TM, I for one am going to say that the face/head you did is fenomenal and obviously male head it is. As a person that has NO REAL TALLENTS at all, I'll still continue to keep my lousy 'artwork' at Chorrol artwork, yea, sure...

My progress: Note: Eyes will be added in seperately until I can figure out how to get them to work. As you can see (hopefully) I've done some work on the texture. Critiques are appreciated.

It looks really good. I mean... REALLY good. The best model I ever made was some spikey hair. ClickI could give some bad critizism.. if you want it.

Good criticism is nice, but it doesn't really a whole lot to help the model, so do whatever you can.
For the record, I could never do the spiky hair model or this head in Maya, Zbrush is just so much more suited to me.
Or 3DSMAX for that matter.

I use Zmodeler 2. Anywho, it really does look great, but the chin is a little lop-sided.
