No one posts in Ravenholm anymore! Or here either. I have made much, much work since my last posting here, but posting all of that would make for a ridiculously long post, so I'll just post tonight's work. It's bad and I hate it, but I hate everything I make, so that's no surprise. If only I could get back to making simple, powerful works like black blur on red, which I posted when this thread first opened. Anyway: Eh, what the hell, I'll add a bonus. One of my most recent sculptures, 10000 points if you recognize the character:

Thanks. It's Mr. Whittier from Chuck Palahniuk's book "Haunted". Not very well known compared to his other book "Fight Club" but a great read if you have a strong stomach.

Here's what I've been working on tonight: I couldn't put into words what it's supposed to represent, so here's the wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PerchtaGoogling Perchta or Perchtan will pull up a bunch of bizzarely terrifying masks, and that's what I'm trying to recreate. My version still isn't nearly as awesome as many of the actual masks, but it's a start.

Nice. I'm not sure the teeth are working though, I think they look goofy. I think fangs would be appropriate.

A lot of the masks are somewhere between goofy and scary, so that's sort of what I had in mind. My inspiration is this one, which while disturbing is also kind of silly: I'll keep that in mind though, I'll play around with giving them some sharpness.

Ah, I seeee. In that case I'd agree with keeping them blunt, with some sharpness as you said.

I'm still working away on various projects, here's a little update: It's for a superhero challenge on the Zbrush forums. It's based on this sketch that I threw together the night I entered. His story isn't important, because it sucks and I'm a terrible writer:
