Well, I wasn't entirely happy with Boromir, so I stripped the paint off him and redid him: And here's Merry and Pippin: And finally, Merry and Pippin captured by the Uruk Hai: Still to finish the bases, but I'll be doing that once I have a bigger batch ready.

Damn Eek! You should auction those off for hundreds of dollars. They're REALLY good.

Heh, thanks. I like 'em far too much to sell 'em, though. ;D

That Fellowship a bit further up is done (it has been for a while), but I'm waiting for a supplier to get a few more bits and pieces back in stock (and get them painted up too) before I show it all off. To keep me going, I'm having another shot at sculpting, since I didn't like where the last one was going. I've spent a fair while on this one this afternoon, and I've got the armature posed: I'm aiming for this (no pun intended ): So, whaddya think? Anywhere I need to improve the pose? I spent aaaages getting the bow right. I had about five tries, since I kept taking a bit too much off one end.

If I were you I would tilt the bow just a bit more, spce out the kness a bit, and lower the head.

A wee bit late for the knees now, but I'll have a go at the other two. Thanks. Anyway, here's what I've been up to since then: I've been fleshing it out a little, from the ground up. It's fairly rough at the moment, I'll be refining the folds and such later, and I've still to do the tops of the boots. Considering how new I am to this, I'm quite proud of it so far. Comments, as always, are welcome (especially from fellow Zelda fans! )

Awesome. Very cool. What sort of scale is that on? I've always hated sculpting, but I love the results when it's done right.

Thanks folks.
It's on 25mm scale (the base is about an inch across), so it's a fiddly process.

Thanks. I'm really happy with the tunic and boots, they just need a teeny bit of refining. The worst thing is I can do very little at a time, since that stuff needs to be left overnight to dry properly.

How many coats of paint does it take? Because it certainly looks like perhaps 3 to me...
