In response to the other thread.
As much fun as Pure Mages are, I need me a little combattin' along, too.
Post your Battlemage characters here!
My top level one is a Breton, level 48.
I'll have to record his statistics later and post, but I do remember his major skills, all of which are Expert and most of which are Master:
Light Armour, Blunt, Destruction, Alteration, Conjuration, Mysticism, Restoration
I've also gotten Illusion and Alchemy to level 100, and Block and Armorer are in the 80's.
I think this character is my favorite Elder Scrolls character I've ever had. I've logged hundreds of hours as him since I got the game, and beaten all the questlines and mini expansions except the Dark Brotherhood, because it offends his morals. (I RP)

I count a Spellsword as being in the Battlemage college of classes.
Any caster who specializes in magicka and uses a weapon or fists is a Battlemage in my book.

I tried to play a mage but it's damn annoying. The magicka is GONE like that (okay, cheats help. Audience: *gasp* CHEATER!!! *flips them the finger*) Either way, I can't play Oblivion because my PC is ed up. Next to that, a mage isn't my thing because there are no cool staffs that you can go Martial Arts with. All there is are spells and even that looks stiff.

Eh, I prefer a Silver Holy Spork of Sue-Smiting any day but still, if I feel like playing a mage, I wanna play a mage who could stuff his/her cane up your anus

Shortswords are my favourite, fast and fairly strong (well, stronger than daggers...) Never really used any more magic than the vampire lesser powers. (Hunters sight)

thieves are more my cup of tea in Oblivion I was a full on enchanter in Morrowind and got the best of both worlds (with minimal cheating, I mean come on, the amount of naturally occuring soul gems is rediculous)
