What is everyone's obsession with spore? The game looks like you'll need 3 daisy chained 3.8 ghz CPUs just to run it. It looks like a cartoon.

Only if you want it to. There are some fairly realistic creatures and buildings you can make, and we don't know what it'll require yet. Also is is pure awesomeness. Have you seen the videos?

Yes. It does look interesting... but not obsessing. I'm more convince Oblivion is better. *wishes for oblivion and PC to run it)

It really is shaping up to be the best game ever made. Plus it isn't just hype, it's there and being shown off. You would have to be more of a age of empires kind of player to really get into that game. It involves patience and strategy. I'm more geared towards RPGs. |

During some stages it has strategy, yes, but in others it is an action game, and in the later stages it's about space battles and creation. The creation is really what draws me to it. I like to create, and I've never seen a game that allows you the flexibility that Spore does. Not to mention the fact that each stage has a staggering amount of depth and open-endedness.

Which is why Spore is set up in stages, though as you go on you can kind of do a few at a time. You see, you just can't win against Spore.
