I've never voted for president, and I don't think I will. There isn't much point, as I never agree with any of the politicians. They all seem stuck to the capitalistic agenda, and I will have no part of putting my name for them to come in and maintain something i'm so against. So, I would look for a president to be more left wing than I get offered here, i'd want a policy of total anti-privatization for one. I'd also want things like legislation of drugs, though their supply be regulated... I could go on, but i'll not

Other, I look at the whole picture. I have to make sure they aren't a religious nut that'll hold up things like Stem Cell Research, but I also have to make sure they'll keep the economy growing. I look at ALL the issues.
Oh, and I can vote so there.

Ratwar, you can vote, but have you? Yes, I have... In fact, I voted today in my State's primarys. I also voted in the last Presidential election.

I'm 15, and live in England, where we have a Prime Minister, not a President.
But for the sake of argument, I voted "other" same reasons as Ratwar, basically. You have to look at the whole picture.

Im Canadian, but I would vote the same way in the States.
I would vote for the one thats doing the most for big, and small business, doing the most for the vountry financially, whats best for the majority of people.
I beleive morals should be left at home if your a politician or big businessman. Your job is to do whats best for your people, not what fits you morally.

I agree, and it is that type of a person that I would vote for, but they would still have a position on morals, even if that position is libertarian.

I look for integrity, morality, and a general intelligence. It's hard to find all three these days.

I vote morality and ya'll know why. Both. Mainly morality. I'd vote for a President that is: Anti-Abtreilung For Gay Marriage Fair Tax. So basically, I'd vote for a cross between Rush Limbaugh and Neal Bortz.

I'm not even registered to vote...and I'm 19 XD yeah I better get on that.......seriously though I think I would go with morals. I mean, ideally, you go with morals. Of course. But the American system is a bipartisan system, and thats just messed up....its almost necessary to have more parties nowadays. If I was of age to vote in the last election, Nader would've gotten my vote.

Vinya, yeah a bi-partian thing is bad, but its not necessarily the ultimate solution. Of course, more choice has to exist for some good parties to be there, else you have two sides to the one coin.
However, what i've noticed, well I guess its the party I might slightly consider having voted for if I find more about them are doing really bad.
I think, from what I hear of U.S politics its like voting for an independent?

I think, from what I hear of U.S politics its like voting for an independent? do you mean like third parties? Yeah, in truth, anyone can run for president. Its the national coverage and backing of the "official" parties (i.e Democratic, Republican) and thats our bipartisan system. Third parties, of course, don't gain as much coverage as they should. Hell, bring back the Whig party if they have to, but give me more choices.

Yeah, I notice its the bigger parties get air time on tv, commercials, et cetera. I don't watch tv anymore, but when I did, and they had their commercials on, all I noticed was rhetoric. I've yet to feel comfortable to vote, or to know what these people stand for.
No one really seems to know, at all.

Other. There is MUCH more to consider than morales and financial views. Let's make a list: Foreign Policy, political views, family history, religion, education, presedential partner, intelligence, and much more. I tend to lean towards political views as the most important one.

Although I've never voted on a president, because we dont have one here, I vote on financials. Morals are a politions excuse to get people to vote for him, when really hes just as imoral as the rest. Considering I dont beleive in oppression, most morals have no place in government as the government is about money.
